Terms of service
Plain English, on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us before you rely on it.
Who we are
GridWhy is operated by Fuat Sezer, an individual developer based in Türkiye (“we” in these terms). You can reach us at support@gridwhy.com.
What the service does
GridWhy searches Google Maps from a grid of points around a business, records where that business ranks at each point, keeps the history and explains changes. We use publicly available search results only. We never ask for, store or use access to your or your clients’ Google accounts or Google Business Profiles.
Your account
- You need a working email address. Sign-in is by magic link; there is no password to look after.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure.
- You must be at least 18 and using the service for business purposes.
Plans, trial and payment
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed for the trial. If you do nothing, the trial ends and nothing is charged.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. Our payment partner Paddle is the merchant of record: Paddle sells you the subscription, issues the invoice, charges your card and handles sales tax or VAT. Paddle’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
- Plan limits (locations, keywords, grid size, schedule) are described on the pricing page. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time; changes take effect on the next billing date unless we say otherwise.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds: see the refund policy. In short, a full refund within 30 days of your first payment, no questions asked.
Fair use
Flat pricing works because plans have fixed limits. Do not try to get around them (for example by scripting the free tool or sharing one account across several agencies). Do not use the service to harass, defame or impersonate anyone, or to break any law. If you do, we may suspend or close the account.
Your data and your clients’ data
- The businesses, keywords and reports you create belong to you. We keep scan history for as long as your account exists; we do not delete scans on a schedule.
- You can export your data at any time. If you close your account, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records for tax or legal reasons.
- Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
What we promise, and what we cannot
- We do our best to run every scan on schedule, and we publish a run log for every scan so you can see when we did not.
- Rank data comes from Google’s public results, which Google can change at any time. We cannot guarantee that a rank we report matches what a specific person sees on their own device.
- The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Law
Your purchase is a transaction with Paddle, our merchant of record, and is governed by Paddle’s own terms, including the consumer protections of your country. Your use of the GridWhy service itself is governed by the laws of Türkiye.
